Rare glide for 60 children two warships

December 05, 2007 (DefenceIndia News Service)

What one can call a lifetime experience was felt by 60 special children, who were taken on board two Indian Naval warships-- INS Tir and INS Sujata.

Giving the details of this memorable event, a Naval press release said that the children from various special schools, along with the staff participated in the event along with Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA).

The children were received by the Naval personnel at the base and escorted to the two ships, the release said.

The Chief Guest Anita Aroume, vice president NWWA, (southern region) gave away mementos to each child.
