Vajra corps dental unit
state of the art new building with latest scientific
gadget, patient friendly atmosphere and specialist dental
care was inaugurated by Lt Gen SS Kumar, general officer
commanding, Vajra corps, on Saturday on Jalandhar.
According to an army release,
the function was attended by Maj Gen K M S Shergill,
Chief of Staff, Vajra corps, retired senior officers
including Lt Gen Surjit Singh Sangra, Lt Gen M S Shergill,
VRC, Lt Gen AS Bahia and many other serving and retired
army and civil officers including Dr Ashok Sharma, CMO
(dental) and Dr SK Sareen, member executive body DCI.
Lt Gen SS Kumar addressed
the gathering on the occasion. After inauguration of
the newly built corps dental unit, he also went around
the different departments of the unit.
Corps dental adviser commanding
officer of the dental unit Col Rajesh Saini in his welcome
address told the gathering that the unit would be getting
six more modern dental chair units and four radio vision
graphic units besides some other modern equipment.
This unit is catering
for specialist dental treatment in orthodontia, periodontal,
prosthodontia and oral maxillofacial surgery, he said
adding that dental hygiene and denture work of patients
was also being taken care of.
