131 cadets pass out from training squadron

A passing out parade of the 74th Integrted Cadets Course Course was held onboard the ships of the Training Squadron INS Tir, Krishna and Tarangini, in Kochi on Saturday.

According to a naval release around one hundred and thirty one cadets successfully completed their basic afloat training in 24 weeks of sea training.

Vice Admiral Sunil K Damle, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, reviewed the parade on board ship INS Tir.

The cadets of this course interacted with the personnel of the Eritrian, Egyptian and Israeli Navy when the Training Squadron Visited Eritria, Egypt and Israel.

At the passing out parade, Cadet Kuthuhal Limaye received the coveted 'Chief of the Naval Staff trophy' and 'Binoculars' for standing first in overall order of merit and the 'Telescope' for being the 'Best All-Round Cadet', the release said.
