Group Captain Ambeker takes over charge of AFS, Adampur

Group captain P.W Ambekar took over as the station commander of Air Force Station Adampur (Jalandhar) on Wednesday from air commodore Arup Raha.

According to a defence release, Group captain P.W Ambekar was commissioned in the Indian air force on 11th December 1981 and before taking over command of air force station Adampur, he was Chief Operational Officer of this base since 16th October 2006.

He has also held various prestigious appointments including the command flight safety inspection officer at HQ, South Western Air Command.

He is an accomplished officer, having undergone many professional courses through his career spanning nearly 26 years.

Apart from being a fighter pilot with vast experience on the MIG, he is a fighter combat leader and is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, release stated.
