 Raytheon Ready to be part of Indian Navy’s Modernisation Plan

Raytheon Integrated Defence Systems (IDS) looks at India as a strategic partner and aims at building strong tie with the Indian Navy. While in conversation with DefenceIndia team Mr. Peter Smith, Director international naval program said that “Raytheon is ready and willing to partner with the Indian Navy in upgrading its existing ships and to build new Fleet.”
Further discussing the scope of the partnership he said India is an important partner both strategically and economically and we would like to increase our multi domain awareness about our brand and its products.
Highlighting the strengths of the Raytheon products he was of the opinion that the Raytheon products are time tested and combat proven in most diverse and rigid conditions. Sharing his companies future strategy he said we would focus on :
  • Identifying Indian Companies to partner with.
  • Build Indian network and support system.
  • Look at prospective joint ventures and tie up arrangements.
Raytheon is the only American Company which is participating in the Indian Navy’s Request For Proposal for networking that systems and sensors for Network Centric Operations. Raytheon IDS would also be applying for NCO tenders for the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force.
