Lt Col
VK Batra,SM, PRO, Indian Army, Srinagar voices the opinion
on the recent query on Infiltration along the LoC.
Infiltration has been going
on since the terrorism took its evil shape, in the state of
J&K in early 90's. However, infiltration came down drastically.

so far.
Since the LoC fence is almost
400 kms in The Kashmir Valley and runs through one of the
most inhospitable terrain; it is nearly impossible to completely
stop the infiltration. However along the LoC fence, alert
jawaans and other modern equipment used by The Army on LoC,
makes it very difficult for a terrorist to infiltrate and
those who manage to cross over, get killed either on the LoC
or the in the hinterlands
