Crest:The
Squadron Crest which was approved by the RASHTRAPATI on 10
Sep 55 depicts a STAR and a CONDOR with its motto 'SURAKSHA
V AKRAMAN'.
The STAR depicts the strength
and unlimited depth the sky which the PURSOOTS control. The
offensive and attacking posture of the CONDOR depicts that
the PURSOOTS are agile, versatile and ready to attack the
enemy who violates its borders. The CONDOR is a South American
bird of prey with approximately 12 ft. of Wing span. The motto
'SURAKSHA V AKRAMAN' means 'the security' of own land, sea
and air space and to 'Attack and kill' the enemy who dares
to violate our borders by land, sea and air.
