10 Bihar BN GP inducts in Democratic
Republic of Congo

10 BIHAR Bn Gp was inducted
to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in United Nations
Mission in Congo (MONUC) with effect from 25 Nov 2004. The
induction was facilitated with the strategic air lift assets
i.e, AN-124 (Polet Airlines) and Airbus 310(Jordan Airlines).
The Port of Embarkation was
New Delhi and the Port of Dis-embarkation was Bajumbura-Burundi
( Passengers) and Entebbe-Uganda (Cargo). The Battalion Group
comprised of 850 passengers and 9000 cubic meters of Cargo.
The Battalion Packers and Movers were literally stretched
to the end of their wit's to balance the Weight Vs Space Dynamics
of the Cargo.
To facilitate the induction
a Move Control Detachment was established at Entebbe with
effect from 21 November 2004 to 10 December 2004. The passengers
were inducted in four modules comprising of 180/200/200/198
Passengers respectively. The Cargo was inducted with the aid
of 72 Cargo Attendees. The Passenger flights were scheduled
on 26 & 30 November 2004 and 02 & 04 December 2004.
The Cargo of the Battalion Group was inducted with effect
from 20 November - 02 December 2004 in 12 x AN-124 Cargo Aircrafts.
The Battalion Packers and Movers did a commendable job during
the Induction Phase.
