Training
Created with the express purpose
of securing the nation?s sensitive industrial undertakings
and other vital installations such as atomic centers, heavy
engineering, space, oil refineries, ports, etc., CISF is increasingly
being called upon to perform important duties beyond its charter
such as internal security, Airport security, security of highway,
election duties etc. With International relations in the post
cold war era being largely defined by economic rivalry between
the nations and futuristic predictions of economic warfare
replacing the conventional one, the importance of CISF and
its role in safeguarding the nation?s economic front against
sabotage, subversion and espionage by hostile nations or terrorist
organizations cannot be ignored.
In order to face these challenges
effectively, a need was felt to keep the force abreast of
the latest trends in threat perception and its management
vis-à-vis the technological advancement in the field.
A well laid out, need based and job oriented approach towards
training management has therefore been consciously put into
place by the Training Directorate.
CISF has seven Training Institutions
- six Recruit Training Centres at Arakkonam (T.N), Barwaha
(M.P), Bhilai (Chattisgarh), Deoli (Rajasthan), Paradip (Orissa),
Sidhabari (W.B) and our premier Academy being the National
Industrial Security Academy at Hyderabad (A.P).
