 Synopsis:
DefenceIndia has initiated, along with Samvedna, a series
of projects that are aimed at increasing awareness and spreading
knowledge about the Indian Army, Indian Navy, The IAF and
The Coast Guard among;
- School Children desirous of joining the forces.
- Graduates desirous of joining the forces and
- Non-Graduates and Graduates, who desire to be a part
of the forces in the non-commissioned ranks.
The project is divided into
the following main parts:
- Conceptualisation, research, design and publication of
a Career Guide.
- A series of knowledge workshops to be conducted in all
schools/colleges/educational institutes in majority of locations
nationwide. For candidates desirous of joining as officers.
- A series of workshops, street plays conducted nationwide
for candidates desirous of joining in the Non-Commissioned
cadres.(Jawaans et al)
Salient Features:
- All 'Day - Long' Workshops shall use audio-visual aids
and be interactive.
- All workshops shall be supervised by an ex-defence officer.
- The publication - 'Career Guide' shall be world class.
Tentatively, the
first workshop should be conducted on the first week of IAF's
75 Anniversary., i.e in the 2nd Week of October
