Refocus to strategic discussion!

"A nation's power is not defined solely based on military capability. It includes economic potential, geo-politics, allies, influence weilded in organizations like G7, UN, regional groups, domestic and foreign policies, past history and so on and so forth.

Given that, I fail to understand why all you folks are endlessly ranting about military stuff?
Why isn't there any intelligent and objective discussion centered around strategic policies that India should consider and adopt in order to become and be a successful country? Frankly, I tried to steer the discussions around several topics and everytime no body was interested to pick up the discussion further. If this forum is considered a sample for the Indian think-tank, I am afraid it is woefully naive in strategic thinking or planning.

For a start, is anybody interested to discuss or share some insights about India's role as a regional player and how the improving Indo-US relations will help shape India's regional status?
