The technologies that will be showcased at the exhibition will include aerospace sciences, composites, super alloys and high energy materials, electronics, microwaves, radars and instruments used in navigation. The exhibition will lay stress on computer-based techniques, system engineering and project, technology and knowledge management.

DRDL director Prahalada said DRDL is working closely with institutions like the Hyderabad Central University, Osmania University, Andhra University, IIIT, ISB and NIT, Warangal for research activities.

‘‘With quality in productivity and adherence to performance schedules, Indian industries can be a hub of the industrial processes outsourcing,’’ he said.

Prahalada said that over 1,000 engineering, IT and technology students are expected to visit DRDL on the open day on Wednesday. ‘‘We have chalked out new areas of technology to be pursued for newer systems and programmes,’’ he said.

‘‘One should tune with the current happenings in science and technology,’’ the director said adding the open day will provide an opportunity to have a snap shot of complex technologies, which are inaccessible during normal days.
