Minister of State
for Defence M M Pallam Raju will formally launch
The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Semi-Conductor (Special
Interest Group) SIG on April 16.
The Indus Entrepreneurs
(TiE) is the premier Silicon Vally organisation
and a global non-profit organization focused on
promoting entrepreneurship through mentoring networking
and education TiE help for budding entrepreneurs
through advice guidance and assistance from successful
and experienced entrepreneurs and professionals.

TiE SIG, a veteran of semiconductor industry will
be spearheading the activities in India. There
are about 30 companies located in Hyderabad who
are engaged in Semiconductor and Embedded Technology
area which is continuing to grow.
The objective of
TiE SIG is to make it into a pan-India SIG to
deliver greater value to all participants through
participation by members from the semi-conductor
industry across the country.
Initially, TiE Semi
SIG will be headquartered in Hyderabad with the
core group and the executive committee comprising
senior members of the semi-conductor industry
across different chapters in India.
In a statement here
A Chowdary said ''the establishment of IT companies
in the State would open up opportunities for electronics,
electronics, electrical, computer sciences, engineering
technology and communications paving way for growth
not only in the sector but also foster strong
growt in investments technology, education and
employment. As there is a need for a very focused
and integrated national platform to address semiconductor-related
issues the establishment of TiE SIG is crucial
in achieveing this big dream'' he added.
