Defence Avionics Research Establishment Director R P Ramalingam has been elevated as Distinguished Scientist by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Mr Ramalingam had rendered more than 33 years of illustrious service in DRDO, contributing significantly to the fields of radar signal processing, multimode phased array radar, electronic warfare systems, avionics and engine control. He had been honoured with several professional awards, according to a DRDO release here today.
