India should remain vigil on borders: Niaz

Expressing hope that peace would last for long on the borders, Jammu and Kashmir Power Minister Mohammad Sharief Niaz, however has said India should not decrease vigil on the borders.

"Let all of us pray for the peace to last for long on the borders. However, despite all sorts of peace initiatives with Pakistan, Indian troops should never decrease the vigil on borders," Niaz said.

After distributing blankets and other items of daily use to the migrants of border areas of R S Pura at Maralian about 15 km from here yesterday, the minister said only the border residents knew the true meaning of peace.
