Upgraded version of PTA plane 'Lakshya' test flown at Chandipur

Balasore, April 25, 2005 (PTI)

An upgraded version of Pilotless Target Aircraft 'Lakshya' was today successfully test flown from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, 15 km from here, defence sources said.

The microlight aircraft was test flown at 11.23 AM, they said.

The indigenously developed aircraft has been designed by the Aeronautical Developmental Establishment, Bangalore, to perform discreet aerial reconnaissance of battlefield and target aquisition.
